Review: (i.Fairy) Moe Moe Brown

Okay, so these lenses were ever-so-kindly sponsored by Lens Village~!  (They were backing my last giveaway, remember?)  Anyway, I had always wanted to see what the Moe Moe Brown looked like, ever since I saw the pics of this series on Geo Lens-House.  Here's what I thought of them~.

Enlargement: 8.5/10 These are between 14.5 and 15 mm.  (I'll measure them soon~.)  Whatever their DIA, they are rather enlarging on my eyes, but not super enlarging.

Colour/Design: 10/10 So.  I was never interested in the Moe Moe Brown until I saw them being modeled: they looked so bright! :D  I was both excited and skeptical. The lens itself looks like a 3-tone grey lens, rather than a brown one.  When worn, though, they have a truly unique, 'murky' gold colour.

The grey pigment lightens the lens up, but is still darker than the brown in the center: it's difficult to describe. Haha. The brown/gold is always bold/bright, but the grey can look darker in lower lighting (it can also seem greenish in some lighting. Oh-- and I get a halo effect, too, with these.

(flash)

Comfort: 9.5/10 Wow-- i.Fairy/Vassen has been hitting it out of the park recently: all their lenses are comfier than ever! <3

Okay, so these lenses are wonderful.  They are now my 2nd most often-worn lenses. (1st place? My Trendy Greys.)  They kind of perfectly straddle the line between dramatic and 'realistic'.  They're 2 or 3-toned, but the colour is very intense.  Plus, they even offer a bit of enlargement. Gorgeous~.

And here are the extra pics, as usual: One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six, Seven, and Eight.

Recent OOTDs + More Giveaways!

(Want to skip to the 'giveaways' section? Keep scrolling down until you see the banner ads for other blogs. ;P)

So believe it or not, I wear things other than circle lenses.  I am speaking specifically about clothing: shirts, trousers, blouses, dresses, pants, frocks, shorts, skirts, scarves, hats, shoes, stockings, legwarmers, sweaters, tights, jumpers, tanktops, etc.  I wear them all!

Here are a few outfits I've worn in the past 30 days or so. :]
- -- -

2 October

My mum and I spent the day together, as I was home for the rare weekend. (I see my parents once a month or so, when I can leave university for a weekend.) We went shopping, of course. Haha.

- -- -

6 October

And this was just a regular old class day.  It was sinfully hot, though, so yeah.  I tried to make  a boring 't-shirt & skirt' outfit more exciting with this huge belt.

^ (I was wearing a pair of simple, black flats) ^

- -- -

10 October

Technically, I didn't wear this outfit 'out'. I just put it on for the trip from home back to university. Haha. Really, only my friends, my father, and a few folks at a gas station on the way to school saw me wearing this.  (I don't like this outfit, though, so I'm okay with that.)

(Yes, I braided the scarf/tie into my hair)
 - -- -

18 October

You can tell that the weather is finally starting to cool down and become more autumnal. I wear shorts and skirts all year round, but I tend to wear tights/stockings or at least higher boots during winter and autumn. ;P  You'll also see me break out my massive scarf collection.

(P.S. THANKS FOR LETTING ME BORROW YOUR ROOM + MIRROR, STACI. <3)

^ (In case anyone thought that I wasn't wearing a bottom. Haha) ^

(Aw yeah: no makeup~)

Review: Kimchi Maki Yellow

Have you ever seen a lens and just 'needed' it?  Because that is exactly how I felt about the Maki Yellow. <3  I rarely have such a visceral reaction to a lens, but these just looked so amazingly bright and golden and unique.   So a resounding 'thank you!' to Apple of Your Eyes is necessary for their sponsorship of these lenses.

(Late afternoon/evening: low light)

(Yes! New pic! [:< )

Enlargement: 8.5/10  So these are approximately 14.8~15.0 mm, I believe.  Whatever the exact diameter, they enlarge rather well, but not an excessive amount.

Colour/Design: 9.5/10   These are yellow lenses.  I like yellow/gold lenses.  Therefore, I like these lenses. A lot. C:  As far as the colours in the lens, there's a goldenrod/orange sort of colour on the outside, and an almost greenish yellow in the middle.  Both are super bright + opaque.  The design/pattern is completely unnatural- there is not a chance that anyone will mistake these for your true eye colour. Haha.

(flash)

Comfort: 9/10  These are just as comfy as other lenses from Sun&Bon/i.Fairy/Vassen. :] (That is, very comfy.)

(Ew, sorry! The old pics are awful~)

All in all, I LOVE THESE LENSES. Oh my gosh, do I ever love these lenses. They are light, opaque, and unnatural to boot. ;P  I love it~.  I'm thinking about trying the Maki Grey, too, if they might be this light.

And here are the extra pics, as usual: One, Two, Three, and Four.

Store Review: Kiwiberry1's Collection

(Feeling lazy? Watch the video review at the end of this post instead of reading.)

This is a review of Kiwiberry1's Collection.  Full disclosure: yes they sponsor me, but that does not mean I can't review their packaging, presentation, communication, and even shipping method(s).

No, they did not ask me to do a store review: I just think it would be nice to give some insight into their service level. Hopefully, this is helpful/informative.

Shipping Time

Kiwiberry1's Collection is based in Canada (Vancouver specifically) and South Korea now. I can only talk about shipping time from before they relocated, though. (They are shipping from both Canada and SK, though.) My parcels are sent via standard post and typically take about a week and a half to arrive.  I have had parcels take 1 week to arrive, and I have had them take 2 weeks to arrive.  (That one time the Canadian postal system shut down, it took nearly a  month. Haha.)

[[ And as always, I have to say:  it's very important that online shoppers realize something about the ordering process from any website: a shop does not control how quickly the post delivers a package.  That is, once a shop sends an item out, no matter what level of post it goes through (express or standard), the time it takes to get to you is out of their hands. ]]

The Box/Package

So my 'order' from Kiwiberry came in a bubble-wrap-lined envelope.  Inside of that is another bit of bubble-wrap: a 'bag' around the lens vials.  And around that bag is a second bubble wrap bag.  So that's three layers of bubble-wrap. <33 Unf.

(These are 2 of the layers of bubble-wrap over the vials)

If you want to see the bubble-wrap lining of the envelope, check out the video.

Finally, here are all the lenses I received (minus the EOS Dollyeye Pink)~! ♥
-

And there you have it: shipping info and packaging info.  As far as communication goes, Kiwiberry has always been great as long as I've been in contact with them: they typically reply within 48 hours.  Even waayyy before they ever sponsored me. (That's right: I have bought lenses from this shop--- often.)  All you have to keep in mind is that like many web-based businesses, they are closed on the weekends.  Therefore, there is a 2-day delay if you contact them during the weekend. :]

Overall, having 'been with' Kiwiberry from the start, I can say that their customer service and overall business model is outstanding, as is their huge lens selection. These folks love their customers and know their stuff regarding lenses.  (Not to mention the many discount codes, coupons, and sales available at any given time.)

I'm sorry if it sounds like I'm utterly in love with this shop.  (I mean,. I totally am, but I hope it doesn't completely take away from this review. Haha.)  Now go!  Go over to Kiwiberry1's Collection and shop around~!

Review: MI E-Type Red (E228) (aka. Venus Eyes Bright Red)

Aw yeahh, it's time for another super belated review.  This time, it's for one of my favourite pairs of lenses ever: the MI E-Type Red.  (These lenses were kindly sponsored by Kiwiberry1's Collection quite a while ago.)

♥- Don't forget to use the discount code, NOXIN, to get 15% off your purchase at Kiwiberry! <3 -♥

(For once, no editing on my under-eye bags. o: )

Enlargement: 7/10  These are only 14 mm, and aren't printed particularly close to the edge of the lens. Combine that with the naturally-coloured (brown-red) and not-all-too-thick limbal ring and you get very little enlargement.

Colour/Design: 10/10 To this day, these are my favourite red lenses ever. The colour is bright and yet somehow believable. The limbal ring is a brown-red, so even that is somehow 'natural'. Haha They are just... amazing. <33

- MI E-Type Red vs. Geo Crazy SF-20 -

- i.Fairy Ruby Red  vs. MI E-Type Red -

Comfort: 9/10  I find MI lenses to very comfortable~.

(I can tell the pics are old because my skin is clear. xD)

All in all, the only thing I can say is that I freakin' LOVE these lenses. ♥  These blew my i.Fairy Ruby Reds-- and definitely the EOS Adult Reds-- out of the water, in terms of red lenses. The MI E-Type Reds are the perfect median between completely unnatural and more believable colours.

And here are the extra pics, as usual: One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six, and Seven.

Review: G&G Daisy (ML4) Brown (aka. Miss Eye Sakura Brown)

Alright, so who has seen the gorgeous advert pics for the Miss Eye Sakura series floating around the web? Pretty, right?  Well, you'll be glad to know you can find it as the G&G/Dueba ML4 series!  (It's also known as the 'Daisy' series and occasionally, the 'Peony' series.)  My pair in particular were kindly provided by Kiwiberry1's Collection! <33  You can stop by for your own pair, too~.

♥- Don't forget to use the discount code, NOXIN, to get 15% off your purchase at Kiwiberry! <3 -♥

Enlargement: 9/10  For only being some 14.5 mm or so, these enlarge a lot on me.

Colour/Design: 7/10  The design on these is absolutely adorable, I think.  So is the actual colour of the lenses when seen by themselves. (Golden yellow = gorgeous.)  Unfortunately, said colour is not very opaque. D:

If you get a halo effect (as seen in the picture[s] below), then you will definitely get that bright, golden brown, but otherwise, it looks like any other dark brown lens. If you prefer a lens that blends fairly well, with an intricate design, these fit the bill.

(flash)

Comfort: 9.5/10 Actually, these were extraordinarily comfortable.  I always find G&G/Dueba lenses comfy, but these were great for me. :]

(No makeup! Hooray!)

Overall, I am not super fond of these lenses, but I do not dislike them.  If you know me by now, you know that I like bold, bright colours, usually, and these do not fit that bill. (Except under flash, or other bright lighting.)  They are very dolly, though, so if you really want that glossy, doe-eyed look, then these are pretty much precisely what you're looking for. ;P

And here are the extra pics, as usual: One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six, Seven, Eight, Nine, and Ten.
