Short Hiatus~~ :/

((Ahaha- when I first typed out the title, I accidentally wrote 'Shirt Hiatus'. xDD))
-  ---  -

Anyway, more relevantly, I'm going on a short hiatus from blogging (a week 2 weeks at the most): I'm leaving for college/university tomorrow and starting classes the same day. @_@

The first week is super-stressful and hectic, so I probably won't have much time to dedicate to this blog (or the internet in general). Sorry~~!

A Few Contests & Giveaways~!

It's that time again! :D  The time where I list a bunch of giveaways/contests I find interesting. I may not be entering all of them, but I'm sure some of you might find them super-relevant.

And geez, all of these giveaways is reminding me to finish putting mine together. It's difficult picking two sets of prizes, though. (There will be 2 winners...) Ah well- such is life.

That's all folks~! Tomorrow we'll get back to my regularly scheduled circle lens review. (Of my first pair of black lenses, actually.) Then a store review, then a lens review, then a clothing haul, then a lens review, and so on. Haha.

Review: Seeshell (Kilala) Popcorn Blue

Hola~! So these lenses were very kindly sponsored by EyeCandy Lens. (Free shipping, y'all! <3)  They're also known as the Kilala Popcorn Blue. :3

(Why does my skin seem paler than usual? Hm...)

Enlargement: 7/10  These lenses are 14.5 mm, but do not enlarge very much at all. <3

Colour/Design: 8.5/10  (The Popcorn series is the 2tone version of the Seeshell Cat Eyes/Miss C Eye series, which is 3-tone.)  Alright, so here is what one advert pic for this lens looks like. Bright, right? :D  Well, the lens itself is actually pretty bright in real life, it seems. As usual, they don't match the advertisements, but they are closer than I would have guessed. In most lightings, they turn out a lighter, sky-ish blue. Especially in photos.  They can look dark in some medium lighting, though.

- EOS Cotton (J-211) Blue vs. Seeshell Popcorn Blue -

- (Seeshell) Dolly Eye Cat Eye Grey vs. Seeshell Popcorn Blue-

Comfort: 8.5/10  Seeshell lenses are generally comfy for me, but dry out somewhat quickly.

(Why yes: I did choose an unflattering angle)

Overall, I really like these lenses. I found love at first sight, and although they are not as bright a blue as I'd prefer, they're still gorgeous. Haha. (They actually remind me of another light blue lens I really liked, the Geo Nudy Golden Blue.)

And here are the extra pics, as usual: One, Two, Three, Four, and Five.

Review: i.Fairy Cherry (aka. Candy Soul) Red

Alright, so this may be my single most overdue review. Ever. I posted the review for these on Gaia and Soompi, months ago, and the video review way back when, too.  In any case, I purchased these wonderful lenses from the Apple of Your Eye~.

((If you shop there, Use my VIP code: Noxin, for 5% off your purchase at Apple of Your Eyes. (Not during the current mid-year sale, though: you'll get $3 off per pair))

((On that note, if you become a VIP member on AoYE, you get 10% off lens prices & free shipping for 3 pairs or more))

Enlargement: 8.5/10  Pfff- for 14.5 mm, these lenses look/feel huge to me.

Colour/Design: 9/10  Well, after I tried the i.Fairy Ruby Red, I tried these, hoping for a brighter red with more coloured area. I struck gold! :D  These definitely have more coloured space than the Ruby Reds, and therefore, seem like a 'lighter' red. <33 This colour really 'pops' in any lighting.

Comfort: 9/10 i.Fairy/Vassen lenses are always pretty comfy for me. :]

(Yikes: old pic is old... and weird...)

All in all, these are a solid, good choice for a bright red lens. I've seen them used for cosplay quite a few times, too, with great effect. C:  If I wasn't so enraptured with my MI E-Type Reds (which are also very overdue for a review), I'd re-buy these when they expire.

And here are the extra pics, as usual: One, Two, and Three.

(Months old video is months old, too.)

Review: EOS Dollyeye (V-209LB) Pink

Okay, so these lovely lenses were very kindly sponsored by Kiwiberry1's Collection. <33 And as always, I will say that they are one of my longest-standing favourite shops. Even before they ever sponsored me a single pair of lenses, I was a dedicated fan/customer. :3   (And even with my late sponsored reviews, they're still so niiiceee~!)

♥- Don't forget to use the discount code, NOXIN, to get 15% off your purchase at Kiwiberry! <3 -♥

Enlargement: 7/10  Ehm, I don't find the EOS Dollyeye series, at 14.2 mm, to be very enlarging at all. (Which I like~.)

Colour/Design: 9.5/10  That's right-- almost a perfect 10! o:  This pink is goorgeeouuss and vibrant, and all those other lovely things. I just... kinda' wish the pink was a bit deeper. More saturated.  That being said, they are a true pink: I just tend to like hot pink more. ;]  Oh-- and of course, like the rest of the series, these have amazing colour coverage.

- EOS Adult Pink vs. EOS Dollyeye Pink -

Comfort:  10/10  As you may know by now-- my eyes LOVE the comfort of EOS lenses-- even the highly pigmented Dollyeye series.

Overall, I FRAKKING (yes, frakking) LOVE THESE LENSES. I was really excited for them when they came out, and I'm still just as excited now that I have them. (And my friends really like them, too, interestingly enough...) They're super photogenic, too. <3

And here are the extra pics, as usual: One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six, Seven, and Eight.

Review: EOS F-57 (Fancy Lens)

Hurrah! I'm back from vacation! : DD  And I got tanned, y'all! (Well, tanner than I am to start with. xD) This review was completed before I left, so you can't see how many shades down I've gone. Haha.  Anyway, these costume/fancy lenses were generously sponsored by ColorLens4Less (aka. Create i Beauty)-- you can see my store review here.

( Heh heh heh~. C:< )

Enlargement: 7/10  Eh. These are 14 mm, I believe, but whatever the diameter, these are barely enlarging.

Color/Design: 7/10  Well, as with about any costume lens I've tried, these are bright. They have a dark, red-violet ring with some 'spikes' going inward, and then a pale pink inside of that. Finally, there's a vertical pupil (aka. 'cat eye') running through the center.  Yes, they're very vibrant, and perfect for cosplay/a costume, but I'm just not very keen on the violet and pink combo in a lens.

Comfort: 6.5/10  Uh. These feel awful. Haha. Generally, costume lenses are thicker and cannot be worn as long as 'regular' colour lenses, yes, but it still sucks to have to deal with the dryness and discomfort.

(Whenever I try to look evil, I just look hilarious. Haha)

Overall, I'm not a huge fan of the F-57s. :/  Usually, I love costume/crazy lenses, but this lens seemed to put together the only two elements I don't like: violet and pink in one lens, and a cat-eye 'pupil'. (I explain why I don't like cat-eye lenses in the video review: they look so weird when they shift around.)  Meh. Hopefully I'll have better luck with future costume lenses~.

And here are the extra pics, as usual: One and Two.

Review: Candy Nudy Sweet Grey (Sunny/Trendy Grey)

Whew~! I'm having a crazy-eventful summer. @_@  (I love being on vacationnnnnn~.) Anyway, these lenses are kindly sponsored by Apple of Your Eyes (aka. Serenity Shop).

Enlargement: 7.5/10  These lenses are 14.5 mm, but like the Gossip Brown, are not super enlarging. (Perhaps due to the soft, brown ring instead of the usual bold, black.)

Colour/Design:  9/10  So from the start, my interest in the Trendy/Sunny series has been how very light all the colours seem, but even more so, the fact that the circle is brown and not black. (I really like that effect. It somehow softens a lens colour-- makes is more natural, too, I think.)  So when I tried these on, I was a bit sad to see that the grey isn't as light as they look in the advert pics. (They never are, though, really.)  Still, it's definitely a noticeable grey-- lighter than medium, and the brown ring is divine.

 - EOS V-205LB Grey vs. Candy Nudy Sweet Grey -

 - Candy Hana 3-tone Brown vs. Candy Nudy Sweet Grey -

Comfort: 9/10  G&G/Dueba(/Vassen)-- which are all brands that Candy and Candylicious use-- are generally very comfy for me.

(You can tell this is pre-vacation: no tan yet!)

All in all, I definitely love these lenses. I'd been jonesing for these babies for ages Haha.  And having had to wait so long to try them was so worth it. (Absence really does make the heart grow fonder.)  It's a lighter shade of grey, with a very unique colour ring.  I kinda' want these lenses in brown next. C:<

And here are the extra pics, as usual: One, Two, Three, Four, Five, and Six.
